We’ll depart from Cusco at approximately 4:30 am in our private van, heading towards Mollepata town (2,900 meters). We should arrive around 8:00 am. Upon arrival, we’ll take a short break to gather any final supplies, stretch, and use the restroom. After this, we’ll continue by van to Challacancha, the starting point of our trek.
Upon reaching Challacancha, we’ll meet our support team, load our gear onto horses and mules, and start our hike to Soraypampa (3,900 meters) by 9:00 am. Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the towering Salkantay and Humantay mountains along the way. By midday, we’ll stop for a traditional Peruvian lunch.
In the afternoon, we’ll trek to Humantay Lake, known for its stunning turquoise waters situated at the base of the glacier. After our visit, we’ll return to our campsite where your tents will be set up and dinner will be served.

HUMANTAY LAKE DAY TRIP INCLUDES:
- Pre-departure briefing: You will meet your guide and group in our office for an orientation before your trek. At this time, we will provide you with the duffle bags which will be carried by our horses. The meeting will be at 06:00 PM 01 or 02 days before the trip begins.
